Leave it to Madison to serve up a beautiful day when I have to take leave of it. Thanks so much.

We packed up Nick's office, he finished grading his class, and now we have about another hour's worth of packing up the house. Sometimes my process may seem slow to people, but it's very very organized and if I move through it in my way, everything gets done efficiently.

That said, I've only had one major meltdown (yesterday, intermittently for a few hours) when the largeness of "OMG-I'm-leaving-the-place-I've-lived-for-20-years-I'll -miss -so - much", and naturally I burst into tears when taking leave of my roommate at her coffee shop this morning. I gave her my small bamboo. She gave me a little Buddha which will live on the dashboard and accompany us on our way.

Once we're packed up, we're taking the dog to the dog park to tire him out for a while, then we're on our way.

Adventure, and really wild things (The West Virginia state motto is "Wild Wonderful West Virginia" - I think it should be "West Virginia - We Have Really Great Roads".) await.

I'm shutting down the computer now, in order to pack it for the car.

Essentially there are no words for the mix of happy and sad I am - bittersweet is almost but not quite right - and the level of support and kindness I experienced last night was amazing. I will miss you all. Seriously.

While perhaps the shot of Jameson was ill advised in light of how much packing is left to do today, one last opportunity to party with one's homies was not to be missed.

And I will miss djsiberia mostest, probably - it's been a privilege and a joy to work with her in the booth, and have her friendship outside. NOBODY, I mean NOBODY, owns pants like djsiberia.
I also can't wait to see her setlist, and to combine our lists into one - if I do say so myself, that dancefloor was PWNED!

Good Time #2: If you have sunscreen and the iron will to awaken, on Saturday August 12th I'll be doing a dj set at the Madion Electronic Music Festival at Warner Park at 11 a.m. Expect it to be a little bouncier than Inferno sets.

Good Time #3: ... BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!

SATURDAY NIGHT AUGUST 12th, Chrome at Club Inferno will feature Dj I.Z. of Rant Radio and DJ's BLOODLOSSGIRL & SIBERIA, rinsing out that dancefloor one last time.

So, while Wednesday night rocked the hizzouse with a tremendous Halo - Endif & Neuroverse live, dancing, an unexpected alisgray, the ever-lovely ladygaia, friends galore and the usual good times with djsiberia - the power was knocked out at Nick's until about 9 p.m. last night. This was terribly inconvenient for our fridge, and our comfort on a humid day when we desperately needed sleep.

But: Today is a half-day of work, huzzah! We're taking a roadtrip in the Minnesota direction to take care of some obligations, and oh yeah, here's the Halo Setlist from Wednesday:
